I am considered an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies. Although I may not bill your insurance directly, you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for our sessions depending on your coverage. You may also be able to use a Health Savings/Flex account to cover the cost if you have this. I am more than happy to provide you with a monthly Superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many insurance companies will reimburse their clients with a receipt of services rendered. However, it is helpful, and recommended that you contact your insurance carrier directly to determine if they will cover a portion of my counseling cost as an out-of-network provider.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

-Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

-What is the coverage amount per therapy session for an out-of-network provider?

-What is my deductible and has it been met?

-How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Clients who do not have insurance or are choosing to not use insurance will receive an estimate of psychotherapy services. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
